Closed Loop Stepper Drive CS-D508

Leadshine CS-D508 is a closed-loop stepper drive designed to run 2-phase stepper motors (NEMA 8/11/14/17/23/24) with an incremental rotary encoder, closing the position loop to eliminate lost steps and perform real-time position error correction. It supports Step & Direction or CW/CCW control, accepts up to 200 kHz command input, and operates on 20–50 VDC (recommended 24–48 VDC) with a 0.5–8.0 A configurable output current range. Compared to open-loop steppers, CS-D508 offers smoother motion, lower noise, reduced motor heating, and requires no tuning while maintaining strong low-to-mid speed torque. It also provides a selectable digital output for fault / brake / in-position, includes built-in protections (over-current, over-voltage, position following error, etc.), and is CE certified and RoHS compliant.
