Moxa MGate MB3170 is a 1-port Modbus gateway that converts between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII, enabling serial Modbus devices to be integrated into Ethernet networks (and supporting serial master-to-serial slave communication). It supports Modbus TCP client/server roles and Modbus RTU/ASCII master/slave roles, can connect up to 32 Modbus TCP servers, and be accessed by up to 32 Modbus TCP clients. The unit provides dual RJ45 ports for Ethernet cascading, 12–48 VDC power input, DIN-rail mounting, and an IP30 plastic housing with 0 to 60°C operating range.
