Schneider Electric ATS480D62Y (Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 / Altistart 480) is a 62 A soft starter designed for 3-phase 208–690 V AC motors, with a 110–230 V AC control supply. It provides controlled starting and stopping (torque-based starting functions) to reduce mechanical stress, limit electrical disturbances, and improve motor protection. The unit includes built-in protective functions (such as overload/underload, phase loss, locked-rotor/excess starting time, and thermal protection) and supports easy integration into automation systems via Modbus RTU (built-in) with optional communication modules like PROFINET, Profibus DP, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, and CANopen. It offers practical control I/O (digital inputs, analog input, digital/relay outputs, and analog output) and is supplied in an IP20 enclosure with multiple global approvals (CE/cULus/UKCA/others).
