The official LAPP sources show it is intended for data and signal transmission at machine interfaces and in control, regulation, and measurement circuits, for fixed installation and occasional flexing in dry and damp rooms. The exact 0034402 variant has a 4.5 mm outer diameter, PVC construction, copper braided shielding for EMI protection, and a temperature range of -40 °C to +80 °C in fixed installation and -5 °C to +70 °C for occasional flexing.
